| | Hunger Banquet 2013 Feb 7th 2013, 09:15 | PLEASE READ: for the words and announcements! This is an ad that I made for an even that is occurring at my school: Saint Xavier University. The Hunger Banquet, is an even to bring attention towards world hunger and poverty. I got a little to into it and started ranting to the point where it became a bit difficult to understand me which I apologize for...sadly this was the best one. I'm still learning video editing so please look forward to more projects like this in the future (maybe). What I'm saying: As a child I was always asked, "What is your dream?". But what does it mean to have a "dream"? I always gave the generic answers: World Peace or No More World Hunger. All while pumping my fists in the air confident that a single individual could end these things so easily, as if finding a solution was as easy as saying it. However, it took me a long time to realize that it just didn't take a group of people, it didn't take walking the walk or talking the talk. But instead it took more. Not just a group of people who were like minded, or ideas that could possibly influence people. Rather it took understanding, knowledge of what you were talking about and whether your heart was truly in it. Today, whenever I do something I second guess myself. Am I doing it for the right reasons? Am I really doing this because I want to? Or am I doing this to impress people? To show them that I'm doing something with my life? Ms. Carvalho is the Rapporteur on the specific programme of Horizon 2020, the next European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation which will guide the allocation of EU funding for research and innovation for the period 2014 through 2020, including all funding for research and development (R&D) into Poverty-Related and Neglected Diseases (PRNDs). Against this backdrop, the new study quantifies for the first time the domestic benefits the EU derives from public investment in poverty-related and neglected diseases, including at least 13000 jobs created between and 2002 and 2010 and a further €1.05 in investments into the Union for each €1 of European public PRND R&D spending.
